The Sunday Not-So Funnies

I expect that this Sunday nearly every “news” program will ignore the fascist coup in America and instead host radical, misinformed, shit-stirring Republicans who will manufacture a narrative that permits them to blame Kirk’s death on Democrats and further motivate their base to violence.

Ignoring solid evidence to the contrary, they’ll blow out of all proportion the very few political and mass killings committed by their favorite targets of hate, while ignoring or downplaying the fact that the shooters have been primarily young, white, males, radicalized by hate mongers like Kirk.

They blame the decline of morality for these shootings, not mentioning the number of right wing adult males who have been arrested and charged for child abuse. They’ll blame the breakup of traditional families, where the daddy worked while mommy stayed at home caring for their numerous children, failing to acknowledge their destruction of the economy that leaves both parents to find work, or makes mommy hold down three jobs to feed her children. They’ll say that the left is a party of hate and violence because a bunch of people online and in the media said that Kirk’s death was a direct result of the hate he espoused, not mentioning the death threats and actual attacks by Trump supporters on those who dare disagree with their master. I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather have something negative about me posted on a popular website than be bludgeoned with a hammer or shot to death in the doorway of my home.

And above all, they’ll use anything they can, no matter how fanciful or nonsensical, to get the focus off the Epstein files, which I’ll be shocked if it turns out Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI haven’t shredded, burned, and buried under the former Rose Garden.
