Android has phones, watches, and tablets. Apple has phones, watches, and tablets. Microsoft has no phone, no watch, no branded tablets.

I’d like to endorse letting the government run out of money. Why would we want to fund an anti-American, fascist regime?
But I wonder if Trump wouldn’t use that as an opportunity to ignore the national budget and commit funds to any self-serving purpose he wants.

To use that idiotic ”frog in boiling water” metaphor, he didn’t gradually turn up the heat, he cranked it to high immediately. By rushing he couldn’t gauge the level of outrage and resistance among the majority of us.

I like watching tech and woodworking videos on YouTube. But I’m beginning to harbor a bit of resentment watching these folks spend so much money on computers and tools while others can’t afford food or housing. We rant about the oligarchs but fail to notice that many people on YT are oligarchs, too.
Our best chance to weather any storm that comes our way is to cultivate a healthy sense of humor.

As blue states organize to preserve our Constitutional Republic they are applying the concept of states rights. An extreme application of states rights may destroy the “United” states but it will provide havens of freedom and safety from the fascist states. We’ll resemble Europe with nation states.

Getting old isn’t for the faint of heart. I managed to reach 71 with only having to deal with COPD. But between now and the end of the year I’ll have a replacement hip and find out if I have lung and/or prostate cancer. It wouldn’t surprise me. Considering all the abuse I inflicted on my body over the years, I’m genuinely amazed to only have to deal with a potential cancer diagnosis after 7 decades.
By going to unnecessary extremes in addressing immigration this regime is undermining the thing that made America stronger than other nations, our diversity. A monoculture is weak, a single disease like fascism can spread quickly. But in a pluralistic society the mixing of cultures makes the whole society stronger and more resistant to diseases like fascism and racism.

I predict because of Trump’s unconstitutional meddling the coming midterms won’t be finalized until the next presidential election, should we have one. Trump will throw such a hissy fit after losing bigly in the midterms that he might cancel future elections…as an “emergency” action.
